Jaguar Moon: Scent of a Mate
Miakoda is a Nahual; she has the ability to walk as a cat or a human. She is a descendant of the Mayans and the gods. She is also a Leguar; half Leopard, half Jaguar. She was banished for what they called her tainted blood. Devante is prince of the Jaguars. To be able to rule he must marry someone who carries the blood of the Jaguar Moon. Miakoda is the only person who carries this blood. Not only does he need to marry her but also needs her help with the other hybrids to defeat the evil responsible for the existence of the hybrids. To accomplish this Devante must overcome not only her reluctance to have anything to do with the people who banished her and her parents but he also has to stop someone from killing her.
Jaguar Moon: Scent of a Mate has a wonderful, exciting plot that will grab you from the beginning. This story is full of suspense, action, and drama that give the book an intensity that will knock your socks off. The supporting characters were used to add dimension to the story. Teri Adkins was able to make the story come alive as I read it. I felt like I was there experiencing everything. I enjoyed following Miakoda and Devante as they tried to overcome all the obstacles and their differences to fall in love and have a good marriage. The sex scenes were well written and enjoyable to read. Teri Adkins wrote a romance with a dark undertone that is not only entertaining but also wonderful and exciting to read. I enjoy every minute of Jaguar Moon: Scent of a Mate.
